ABOUT

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Alexa was brought up by parents who like to travel and a father who likes to take pictures. They gave her a camera early on, put her on a few airplanes and she hasn't looked back since.

Living in New York for 10 years, she graduated from the School of Visual Arts and worked as a photographer and photographer's assistant, always traveling when she could and always taking pictures.

She relocated to Berlin, Germany in 2009 where she has been steadily working as a photographer and struggling with the language. She is currently working on a long term photographic project of film stills in collaboration with NowMomentNow. Select clients include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Berliner Morgenpost, Maclean’s Magazine and Time Out (International).
