My winter of content has melted from a white playpen into soggy mush. Excuse me while I ignore everything between now and the white nights of summer.

Tonight I'm going to a Turkish Opera, tomorrow to see 50 Cent, and Sunday to a German play. I'm getting me some culture in these ignorant bones.

There are few cities left where a seven year old boy can walk into the corner store with a handwritten note and a wad of cash and buy 3 different packs of cigarettes. I was tempted to write him my own note, put him on the U-Bahn, cross my fingers...
