It was a rainy Sunday night when we decided to go for a quiet pint of Guinness at one of our local bars. Walking in not much was amiss other than the two bartenders wearing Santa hats. There were maybe 15 people there - a few sitting at the bar, a few small groups at tables. It was louder than normal but still, nothing seemed out of place. The bartender came over and explained through his cloak of sweat that he was doing Christmas shots with every customer. Ok, we thought, this makes a bit more sense. Then Die Ärzte, a 80's Berlin punk band came over the speakers and that was it. The dancing began and didn't stop and tables were knocked over and candles fell to the ground and strangers smiled.
