Every once in a while (when I open my eyes) I stumble upon a piece of history. It's hard not to here. Most days I cross the path of the former Berlin Wall. A short walk beyond the remaining bricks set in the road is the Soviet War Memorial. It's a vast, empty, creepy memorial built to commemorate Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in 1945.
