Something about 4 days away - 4 days of camping, 4 days of music, 4 days of non-city life - has left me surprisingly calm and not my usual cynical self. It wasn't exactly 4 days in the wilderness - estimates are 50,000 people, camping next to the tarmac, tons of music, light shows, a cabaret, and plenty of bars - but it was 4 days away from traffic and roads and stores and public transportation. I'm a city girl and it takes a lot to get me out but whenever I do I come home feeling a bit more relaxed. Right now I'm digesting the new experiences and appreciating the time away this past weekend. I keep smiling to myself, and humming, and dancing a little bit. Which means that yes, I had a really great time. But I'm also glad to be able to come back to Berlin and call this place home.

Every NY magazine I've read lately claims that
all the artists are moving to Berlin...so calling Berlin home serves you well girlfriend ... just have to master the verbal
language while you practice the mastery of the visual one.
I miss your beautiful face ...
love Gail
P.S....grocery shopped with Ruby yesterday and she proudly brought out Toronto Film Festivals cotton bags which were a gift from you ... she misses you too.
