There is space here. A lot of space considering the size of the city. New space, old space, manicured space, abandoned space, tree space, water space, gray space, color space. It isn't all designed or built with a purpose and even if it was much of it has been reclaimed. Something here makes me enjoy it more than other places. Maybe it's because it's so safe, maybe it's because it's so random and the days are so long, maybe it's because you can bring a beer and a grill with you wherever you go. During some of the darker points in my life I've been known to hide. And although everything isn't peachy and perfect for me right now I can't get enough of being outside, walking, cycling, laying in the park, watching the sunset and getting my feet wet. Heading to one of my [favorite places] (http://alexavachon.com/blog/2009/5/30/bbq) right now to enjoy it all a little bit more.
