And then the sun came out and brought with it the people and the craziness. Final numbers are not yet in but estimates are up to 70,000 people. That's 20,000 more than last year. On Saturday you really got a sense of the masses of people sharing the space and using every inch of the grounds. There were at least 15 stages spread throughout the sand, grass and forest with many hidden spots where you could always find a minute of, if not quiet, at least solitude. As the name suggests, the music was mixed. Everything from techno, to folk music, to rap, to trance. There's something refreshingly equalizing about so many performers without any headliners and an unpublished lineup. If you perform well people come. If you don't they leave. And then we had our first great sunset and suddenly the days were long and the nights too short...
