No story of my life here in Berlin would be complete without Christian. I first met Christian just over year ago on my second night ever in Berlin. I was alone and wandered into a bar that a friend of a friend had recommended. I ordered a beer and got the standard 1/2 liter bottle of Beck's. I stood there alone hoping someone would talk to me thinking, "This beer is really big and I have to finish it before I leave" and it seemed like an eternity of standing there, sipping my beer, waiting for something to happen. Then Christian turned to me and said something to which I sheepishly replied, "Do you speak English?" and he said "I should have known." If it wasn't for him I don't think I would have had the courage to move here. I was lucky to have him as my neighbor and guide when I finally did and he graciously let me "borrow" all of his friends. Aside from helping me get my visa, giving me a place to stay when I didn't have one, fixing my bike, and teaching me the names of all the bars we also like to throw snow at each other, dance all night, and get ourselves into trouble. Thanks C.

I never knew you were such a romantic.
What's with the orbs in the first picture? Do you know what they are???? I do, SPIRITS. I have lots of pictures of them I use in my lectures, but this in about the most impressive I have seen.
Great to "meet" Christian.
That was a nice comment! :)
