By this time tomorrow I'll be in the United States of America where I can speak loudly and laugh freely and talk to strangers and obey all the laws, where there are people of every color and they hand out TVs on the street corners and everyone smiles and says hello and I'll understand all of the conversations around me and be able to read the newspapers and nobody will ever look at me funny or ask me where I'm from. I love you Germany but this little break will do us both a world of good.
