I was in San Francisco for the wedding of a dear friend from University - a wickedly funny woman who lived in a 5th floor walk up on a hundred and twenty something street whose dry wit and steely editing skills got me through more than one seminar class. It was a mind fuck to see old New York friends against the backdrop of sunny California and to go from a traditional Chinese tea ceremony to a tattoo covered trail of perfect shoes and ties. It was one of those magical days that pass too quickly in a red hued blaze and since I still haven't finished editing the photos from the wedding that were due, like, last week and since I'm still kind of reeling from the whole adventure I needed to post something about it. I have to say that I've never seen a better dressed wedding (although the sheer volume of kilts at Edinburgh Castle does hold a special place in my groin, I mean heart) nor have I ever seen a group of people attack a dance floor with such conviction. It was, I'm so pleased to say, a very, very special day.
