Well, it's officially been one year. One year in Berlin and one year at this blog thing.
I can tell you where I was one year ago last Saturday (laying on the dock at Club der Visionaire) and where I was last Saturday (Prenzlauerberg - one day short to witness this awesome bit of street art). I can tell you where I was one year ago today (but I won't) and where I was earlier today (soaking up the sun and exchanging photos in my local park) and I can tell you where I'll be next Saturday (at this anti-Nazi demo) and where I was one year ago that day (May Day in Kreuzberg).
It's been an interesting couple of weeks what with all of these anniversaries - one year since I moved to Berlin, one year since I started this blog, one year since I had a whole lot of expectations for myself. And here we are 318 (give or take) photos later, still on this journey. At least now I know that I've got friends (and family) who will support me through anything.
I'm a little bit blonder and I speak a little bit more German. I've seen the Golden Gate bridge and danced at Golden Gate one too few times. I've broken into buildings and slept in strange places. I've talked to strangers and ignored familiar faces. I've slept for days on end and stayed up for nights in a row. Although I wouldn't trade a minute of it so far (well, I would trade about 563 minutes of it, but let's not dwell on that), I can honestly say I have no idea what is next. And maybe that's a good thing.
