In September 2016, over 100 women from Asia, Africa and Europe gathered in Berlin, Germany for a women’s football tournament & festival called Home Game. The participants were a mix of activists and players of varying skill level. The tournament was organized by the Berlin based NGO Discover Football which works to empower women and girls to play football around the world.

The photographer set up a photo studio in a locker room on the football grounds.  She asked each woman to pose for a portrait.
