The Tributaries, shot on assignment for Page 1 of The Wall Street Journal, follows the journey of new refugee arrivals during their first 30 days in Germany. Here, Amer (5 years old) from Damascus, Syria plays in a cornfield near his refugee camp in outside of Frankfurt, Germany. Amer came with his father while the rest of the family had to stay behind. They are hoping to reunite in Germany.
